Junior AI Risk and Quality Consultant

We are seeking a motivated Junior AI Risk and Quality Consultant to join our team in Singapore within a new, high-growth AI risk and quality business backed by TÜV SÜD, focused on transforming how organisations identify, assess, and manage AI risks globally. This business combines TÜV SÜD’s trusted assurance heritage with a pioneering methodology and platform solution and operates as a small, highly specialised, and fast-growing team.

This is a client-facing, entry-level consulting role (2-3 years of experience) for individuals excited to help build a new business and shape a rapidly emerging domain. Working under the guidance of senior consultants, you will contribute to client engagements, apply our proprietary methodology and platform, and support the delivery of AI risk and quality assessments across diverse use cases.

Through hands-on client work and close collaboration with senior experts, you will gain critical, in-demand knowledge on how organisations adopt AI safely, compliantly, and at scale, covering AI risk, quality, governance, and regulatory alignment in real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

AI Risk & Quality Assessment

  • Apply our methodology and platform solution to support AI risk and quality assessments in client environments, aligning deliverables with recognised frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)
  • Use the platform to document AI systems, assess risks, and generate structured assessment outputs under senior guidance
  • Identify and document risks related to bias, fairness, transparency, robustness, security, and privacy across AI use cases
  • Support the development and maintenance of client AI risk registers and mitigation plans

Client Delivery, Reporting & Advisory

  • Prepare clear, structured AI risk and quality reports and assessment outputs for clients, with review and oversight from senior consultants
  • Support client gap analyses and remediation roadmaps aligned with regulatory and standards-based expectations
  • Contribute to the documentation of AI risk and quality policies, procedures, and control frameworks for client organisations
  • Support client interactions by preparing materials and contributing to workshops, briefings, and structured discussions

Governance, Platform & Solution Development

  • Support the design and implementation of AI risk and quality governance programmes using our methodology and platform
  • Contribute insights and feedback from client engagements to the ongoing evolution of our methodology and platform solution
  • Assist in developing AI risk, quality, and responsible AI policies and guidelines tailored to client needs
  • Help create and maintain AI inventories, system classifications, and supporting documentation within the platform
  • Participate in client training sessions and internal solution and methodology development initiatives

Experience & Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in consulting, risk management, compliance, legal, technology, or related client-facing roles
  • Experience supporting client delivery, advisory, or assurance engagements
  • Exposure to areas such as data governance, privacy, IT audit, cybersecurity, or technology risk
  • Experience drafting professional client deliverables, reports, or advisory documentation

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge

  • Foundational understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and AI system lifecycles
  • Awareness of common AI risks, including algorithmic bias, explainability challenges, data quality issues, and security vulnerabilities
  • Understanding of data governance principles and data protection fundamentals
  • Awareness of key AI regulations and frameworks (e.g. EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, Singapore Model AI Governance Framework), with an expectation to deepen expertise on the job
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO/IEC 42001, ISO 31000, or ISO 27001 is an advantage, not a requirement

Consulting & Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication with clients
  • Ability to structure analysis and explain technical and regulatory concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for contributing to a new and evolving business

Education

  • A relevant Master’s degree is an advantage but not required
